Have you heard? House of the Dragon is coming. The prequel to Game of Thrones and according to Casey Bloys, the president of HBO Programming, it’s coming sometime in 2022. Based on George R.R. Marti’;s Fire & Blood, the upcoming series will focus on one house – the Targaryen’s and their bloodline.
We all know the most famous of all from this house was Daenerys, aka the mother of dragons, but the story will unfold some 300 years prior to what we witnessed on the epic Game of Thrones.
The mad king, who was Daenerys’ father, was ruling the seven kingdoms with fear, thanks to his three dragons. At the time, Tywin Lannister, who just happened to be Cersei, Jamie and the Imps father, was the mad king’s hand. Once thing led to another which inevitably ended with Jamie’s dagger in the king’s spine. And we get to bear witness to it all in little under 2-year’s time!
